Benjamin Fiss

Principal

Ben has more than 18 years of professional experience, including six years in local government and more than twelve years as a land use consultant. His local government experience includes work as Chief Field Deputy to Los Angeles City Council-member (now Mayor) Eric Garcetti and as Field Deputy to City Council-member (now City Attorney) Michael Feuer.

His land use consulting experience includes more than twelve years at leading Los Angeles Land Use firms including: Psomas, a prominent civil engineering, surveying and land use consulting firm, Rosenheim and Associates Inc. and Craig Lawson & Co., LLC.

Ben has managed many land use entitlement efforts including:

  • Mixed-use residential above retail projects
  • Complex projects with historic preservation issues
  • Condominium conversions
  • Coastal Development Permits
  • Complicated signage entitlements
  • Conditional use permits for the sale of alcoholic beverages
  • Entitlements for low-income housing
  • Shared parking approvals for reduced parking requirements
  • Police permits for parking garages
